It is the application of both which breeds success, we should not rely on one single approach. That's why engineers and designers are now invited to come to mutual understanding. We need to call a spade a spade, if the daily routines of creative processes already absorb our attention and energy.

Andreas Kalweit, Christoph Paul, Dr. Sascha Peters and Reiner Wallbaum just published their »Handbuch für Technisches Produktdesign« (Compendium of Product Design) to effectively and productively boost both. Technology, processes and material are described in text and illustration, on approx. 600 pages. A most detailed overview instead of 15 handbooks squatting four shelves. In three rooms.
Based on their approach to their jobs as industrial designers and illustrators, the publishers went at the compendium: Bold and daring, with the necessary verve to tackle decisions, and to reach their goals while reflecting their road.
